Why stoneware
Stoneware is clay fired at a high temperature until it turns dense, close to stone. It does not soak up water or oil, so the smell of last night's fish curry does not stay in the bowl. It goes from the fridge to the microwave and then into the dishwasher. You do not need to keep a separate set for guests.
Every piece is thrown by hand. That has one side effect you should know about before you order: the glaze shade changes a little from one firing to the next. Two green plates bought months apart can be a touch lighter or darker. If you want to add pieces to an old set, send us a photo on WhatsApp first. We will tell you honestly if the current batch is close.
